A survey by Durex, the condom manufacturer, reveals that Greece is the most sexually active country, with 87% of respondents having sex weekly. Japan brings up the rear with 34%.
It would be interesting if someone were to do research on the differences. Is there something in the diet that promotes sexual activity in Greece and dampens it in Japan? Japan has one of the highest population densities in the world. People are crammed in apartments like sardines. Sounds in the neighboring apartments can be heard, and couples often live with their parents. Is the lack of privacy in Japan responsible for the low sexual activity there?
Another line of attack would be to consider the number of hours spent on the job and stress in the workplace. Perhaps a laidback lifestyle encourages recreational sex?
Will some researcher take up the gauntlet?
