Auditorium or Dump?

You know what they say about the spirit being willing but the flesh being weak. Each time I pass the structure below (near Kacheripady Junction), I read the sign that tells me it’s an auditorium. My brain registers this message, but then immediately processes the visual image, which is the antithesis of what an auditorium should look like. My brain is willing to “believe” the structure is an auditorium but the mind is weak.

So, what gives? If it’s a dump, why not call it a dump? Why maintain the fiction of the auditorium? It’s another of those minor Indian mysteries whose solution lies squirreled away in the depths of the municipal bureaucracy.
