Highway Distractions

My father and I took a taxi to Trichur recently. On the way back, he mentioned that when he was a student in the U.S. in the 1950s, the powers that be banned advertisements along the highway after receiving numerous complaints that drivers were getting distracted by the huge billboards.

After that I decided to observe the state of the highway we were traveling on; here are the results. The ball is now in the court of the powers that be. 🙂

All photos were taken from a speeding taxi.
