The Taste of Malabar

I usually have a small snack washed down with coffee on my way home from work. The eateries I generally patronize are Bimbis, India Coffee House, Sannidhi Cafe (off M. G. Road), Bharat Cafe (Broadway), Radha restaurant (Shenoys), Chariot Coffee Shop, etc.

I’m happy to report that there’s a new kid in town. Drum roll, trumpets, please. Enter Ojeen, bringing you the taste of Malabar in the alley connecting Shanmugham Road and Broadway near SBI. There’s a wide variety of delectable, yummy Malabari dishes whose names I’ve never heard of up to now. The service is friendly, the food fresh, and the prices reasonable.

Let’s not forget one of the most wonderful and heart-warming aspects of living in this filthy, benighted, Third World country of ours: the incredible cuisine, of which there are numerous variants even in a small state like Kerala.
