The Toughest Language in the World

No, it’s not Malayalam, but Malayalam must definitely be on any list of the world’s toughest languages. This was underscored the other day when a newly joined American in our office confessed that even after two weeks of effort, he was unable to enunciate the word Malayalam! He observed that his tongue was incapable of the energetic acrobatics pronouncing the word demanded.

It’s not for nothing that Malayalam is the only language in the world whose name is a palindrome. 🙂
