Anomaly in School Report Card

My younger son is a model student, so I was taken aback by what was written in the report, in the first row of the section on personal traits: “Follows instructions? Occasionally!”

What the teacher intended to write was perhaps “Usually.” A momentary distraction perhaps, and the opposite word was selected. If my son had followed instructions only occasionally, I’d certainly have gotten a earful from the teacher during the term. And now that my son has gone on to a new class, I cannot even clarify this with her.

She’s very fond of my son, and paid what can only be described as a glowing tribute to him in the Summary section.

So there’s a mystery there.

But I’m happy that I have a hygienic son. 🙂
