By a curious coincidence, I spotted this familiar pre-Good Friday pilgrimage to Malayattoor yesterday at the same place that I saw it last year (see Pilgrimage to Malayattoor/). However, I was disappointed to find myself at the tail of the briskly marching group. I’d have had to run to overtake them and shoot them from the front, but I was already late to work and laden with bags. So I got as wide an angle as I dared get by venturing on to the road.
But perhaps I should not complain about my bad position relative to the procession, because (1) this is a shot with an interesting vertical perspective and (2) for a moment, I was part of the procession.
